SO GLAD TO MEET YOU!
I considered writing a typical “About” section. You know the one… start with all my credentials (don’t worry, all that impressive stuff is at the bottom), then go into fascinating detail about what a great person I am and close with something personal and not terribly interesting to you. I decided to go a different direction and put my own stamp on this About page. Because what you really want to know is why you should give me the opportunity to change your life through Active Wellness Group Travel. Right?!
Well, let me tell you why. First, I practice what I preach and passionately pursue a lifestyle that keeps me well and active. I started loving an active way of life as a high school athlete, continued as a collegiate aerobics teacher's assistant, then as an aspiring yoga instructor and now as an obsessed hiker! Second, at my essence I love to build community, and designing curated group experiential travel provides the perfect recipe to create meaningful connection. And third, my soul loves exploring the world through new adventures, embracing new cultures and experiences, and sharing it with those on our amazing journeys. So you can see that building health and community is my life’s work, and travel is my medium!
I know that ‘journey’ means something different — something specific — to each person, couple, family or group. Your journey should be one that fits you! One person’s ideal is a deep tissue massage on a relaxing river cruise while another’s is a heart-pumping hike across seaside cliffs ending with a zip-line. I think of these experiences like an energy bar that feeds our souls. I just want each person to come back ‘FIT’ – fulfilled, inspired and transformed!
Here’s some examples included our my adventures:
-
HIKING. The view after climbing up the back of Half Dome in Yosemite was simply breathtaking and inspiring.
-
BIKING. There’s nothing like seeing a new country up close and personal with the air rushing over your face and the locals riding with you. Biking Portugal's wine region gave me a whole new perspective on traveling well.
-
SAFARI. One word invokes so many amazing emotions of being one with nature, plus we added biking, hiking, ziplining, and healthy eating to ours. I'm ready to do it all again!
-
SKIING. The rush of adrenaline you get skiing definitely makes you want the chair lift ride to go to the top faster!
-
DIGITAL DETOX. The first time you turn off your mobile phone for an entire day is such an uplifting, freeing experience. I've created a great community of individuals doing this at various wellness retreats. Add in 20 plus daily optional activities and a massage, and it’s the perfect recipe for rejuvenation.

And, speaking of WINE, I love to be an active, wellness traveler who knows how to raise a glass and say “Cheers!” at the end of our adventurous day.
